It can be present in one eye or both. When bacteria gets into the eye it causes inflammation of the conjunctiva which is the clear sheath which covers sclera the white part of the eye.<\/p><p><b>Symptoms:<\/b> sore irritated eyes<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Signs:<\/b> red eyes, gunky discharge<\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Treatments:<\/b> Generally Bacterial conjunctivitis will resolve on its own and can last from a few days to a couple of weeks.
